An 1886 Imperial Russian Silver Egg. Engraved with foliate decoration, parcel gilt interior and stands. Each half of the egg when opened, contains two screw-in stands. When opened and assembled the egg forms two standing egg cups. Signed and hallmarked on all parts. AA (Aleksandr Afanasbev), Moscow, 84 Kokoshnik. Good to very good condition. Egg measures 2-3/4" H, as cups 2-5/8" each. Weighs approx. 3.04 troy ounces. Shipping $38.00 (estimate $1000-$1200)
