Equipped with a 5.9 Liter V12 engine, the DBS provided 510hp which is channeled through a 6-Speed Automatic gearbox, ultimately producing one of the most glorious exhaust notes available. High-tech advancements such as a lightweight aluminum chassis, carbon ceramic brakes, and adaptive suspension serve to enhance the performance even further. The hood, trunk-lid, front fenders, the door opening surrounds and the trunk compartment are all made of carbon fiber. The roof and the doors are made of aluminum. Even the carpets are made from special thin layers comprised from carbon fiber. The result is a 66-lb weight reduction as compared to the DB9. The car is also fitted with a carbon fiber splitter on the front bumper to increase handling and a carbon fiber rear diffuser to increase high-speed stability. Famously immortalized by the James Bond films, "Casino Royale" and "Quantum of Solace" the second-generation Aston Martin DBS continues to encapsulate the same presence it exuded on screen nearly 20 years ago. Although the DBS holds the record for the most on-screen barrel-rolls, rolling over seven times, "movie magic" is more to blame than the DBS' road performance.
