Tall Antique Japanese Hand Painted Satsuma Porcelain Vase. Detailed Sparrow decoration. Made by Taizan Yohei IX. The signature reads: "Dai Nihon Taizan Sei," "Made by Taizan in Great Japan." Also impressed with the Taizan seal. Taizan closed the family's studio in 1894, following the display of his exhibition pieces in the Japanese pavilion in the Columbian Exposition, Chicago, 1893. Light crazing or good condition. Measures 14-1/2" H x 3-1/2" W. Shipping $75.00 (estimate $400-$600)
